I have heard a lot of things about how great kimbers are made.

I know little to nothing about kimbers. Just curious how they stack up against pieces like the Sig and the Glock.

Anyone?

My gun is prettier than yours, and it's a Glock!

I have 2 Kimber .45 pistols, 3 SIG's,and 3 Glocks. It is kind of hard to make a comparison because they are so different. All 3 are well made, reliable firearms. My experience has been that people who like plastic guns, don't like 1911 model pistols. I like them all. Generally the Kimbers are compared to Springfield, Colt, Para-ordinance, etc. The Kimbers have changed the 1911 Government models that are being offered by everyone. They have forced the other manufacturers to make better guns with more features in order to be competitive. I thought Colt was going to quit making 1911 guns, but the new ones are pretty good.
