When I started handloading 20 some years ago, in my circles, which were small, the most popular bullets were Hornady and Sierra. Noslers bullets were scarce and Speer was for the most part a special order item. I now seem to see more Nosler and Less Hornady with the exception of XTP's and few Sierra and Speer. Have you seen any shift in dealer shelves over the years.

Depends on what you are going to do with them.

For super accuracy in my .223 I use 69g, bthp Sierra bullets.

For my accuized .45's its locally made 220g, swc lead at .4515.

For plinking with the rifles, it doesn't matter much to me.

For the 30.06, I can get non-corrosive, loaded rounds cheaper than I can reload them.
