It was still in the high 90's here last night at 10pm! If the power went off we'd have to go to sleep at sundown. Candles would have ya cookin' in your own juices!

Know you guys are not used to the heat, may be a miserable weekend. Better take the family on a short trip.

I can believe. Same as last year and 3 years ago. Just went out and
picked up another can of gas for my generator. Each 4 months I just
dump it into my truck and get another couple of cans. Even though
using "Stable" additive. Oh yea, gas is now up to $1.45 per gal.
And Pa, did you get the 100 .44 mag shells I sent?
Instead of cutting back on power voltage, lets cut back on those
7,000,000 "undocumented Immigrants" here in the country.

Glad that I live in Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I understand there are three different power grids in the US.........the East (right) coast, the West (left) coast and....TEXAS. Thank God for Texas. I think we ought to still entertain the idea of seccetion (sp???).

BOBBYWINS.........drop me a line. I am loathe to post my e-mail on line and make it easy for anybody, but it's in my profile. I live in Austin and have never met any other GB'ers but would like to. Maybe we could start our own TEXAS smoking jacket society, or have some GB get-togethers in places other than Pennsylvania or Oklahoma (no offense meant to anyone in those states or in the SJC [:D][:D][:D])

My theory on the last blackout was a covert disaster drill in preparation for any future terrorist attacks and the 9-11 anniversary. It gave the governments of the US and Canada hands-on experience dealing with a disaster in contolled circumstances plus they had an opportunity to observe the public's actions during the crisis.

Does this make sense? The fellows at the breakfast bar say I am nuts for even thinking of such.

    Gunpaq,

Best conspiracy theory I've heard yet! I like it. Only problem, was very expensive.

Just talked with a bud a couple of miles away. He's been dark for a couple of hours and when it comes on he only gets about 60 volts.

Our towns keep letting the developers add more and more houses, apartments, townhouses, condos, office buildings, commercial developments and large manufacturers without adding to the resourses like water, sewage, power and roadways.

I get low voltage when its hot and humid and I have more traffic than anybody should ever have. It wasn't like this when I moved here about 14 years ago.

    It makes me sick.

I am running on 101 volts as we virtually speak. Just gased up the generator.
