mpeg video problem ------ solved !!!

I am working on a web site for my buddy.
I bought a video capture card and captured a short video of his car launching from the line. It is saved as an mpeg 2 with sound.
This plays on my main machine with no problems either locally or via the net, but on my other machines it won't play over the net.
I'm thinking the problem is the file itself like its the wrong format or something for the common machines to play, but this is over my head right now.
Do I have to convert it to another format?
The url is below. Can anyone out there help?

The problem is finally solved.
I want to thank everyone who responded, gave suggestions, ideas and such.
Pabooger suggested that I save the mpg file as an mpeg 1, instead of an mpeg 2.
I said that I tried that and it didnt' work.
Well, when you are in the middle of this stuff you forget some of the details.
Well, yeah, I tried saving the file as an mpeg 1, but the software that came with my card would produce an error message when I tried to record in mpeg 1 format. So I tried the mpeg 2 format and that worked with the software but nobody could view it unless they had the codecs for mpeg 2.
Anyway, I found out that the card I bought was a type "NTSC".
The defaults for the software that was sent with the card was a type "PAL".
When I discovered this, I changed the defaults of the software to NTSC and saved the file as an mpeg 1.
Walla! Other people can view the video.
Thanks Pa.
The mpeg 1 can be viewed by most computers.
Take a look, let me know if you have any problems. Its 1.4Mb.

Keep in mind that that car weights over 3500 lbs with my bud's big butt in the seat.
Thanks

It'll play all day long on the machine I'm typing this on.
Even when I clear out all of the cache, etc, and try it right from the website.
I'm thinking that the software that came with my capture card doesn't do to good a job of saving the correct format.

I had the same problem with this machine, then I uninstalled quicktime and it started working on media player.

I don't use quick time or real player, as windows media player has worked for everything I have played.

My other machines never had quicktime on them so they try to play it in media player, but no go.
Anybody out there have a capture card that I can send a copy of the vhs to?

If your gonna do much video editing and putting alot of them on web sites, it might pay ya to get the pinnacle studio 8 software, it's not that expensive!

Just need to capture a part of this vhs, a small part and then a bigger part, to put on the web site.
I think my card and its software are not so good, or maybe its me.
See the original post.
Thanks.
