What excuses do you use to go to the range?

I pretty much need a reason to go to the range.

Sometimes the reason is I haven't been in awhile.

But most of the time its cause I have some new thing I need to "test" and while I'm testing I need to bring along 5-10 other firearms to make sure they still work..

Or maybe its cause I need the practice.

But lately It has to be a new accesory or firearm, any other excuse doesn't seem sufficient.

But if you get a bipod or new sights or a new firearm.

YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE RANGE :).

It may not be conventional, but I alway say "I'm going to the range".

Ammo is more than 3 weeks old and I need to do a stock rotation.
I have the wife convinced of this. [:D] [;)] Like Budweiser, my ammo has a "Born on Date" Gotta use it while fresh. [:D]

My reason may be somewhat unorthodoxed as well but I would have to say, uhhh, to shoot my gun.

For the most part I don't need a reason, but if I do it is to shoot a new gun or test reloads.

There is no "excuse" - it is a right. I don't exercise it as often as I would like, but I go as often as I can and whenever I want. My family knows better than to argue! [}:)]

My wife usually complaines when I don't go to the range ... last time I paid my dues for 3 years in advance because we get a bit of a discount ($75 per as opposed to $100 each year when paying a year at a time) ... The range is open dawn to dusk 7/365 ... since we moved and I started working from home I've only been able to get out there about twice a year ... she says it makes that membership pretty expensive [:0]

I just make sure none of their horses are in the line of fire for the first shot. After that they all high-tail it to the other end of the pasture. They've pretty well learned to "vacate" the range when they see me coming.[:D][:D][:D]
As far as the family is concerned,it doesn't bother them unless I set up for 400 yds. That puts me right in front of the house.[:0][:0]

I have no problem from Mrs njretcop about going to the range.

My biggest problem is the &^%#$^&* weather we have been having this year. The nearest high power rifle range to my home is an hour away.

I can live with that, but when I get there, it's freezing!!!!! [:(][:(]

Nunn, sorry about the bad language, but at least I didn't say DRAT!!!

All I have to say is: "Want to go shoot?" The answer will be either:
"Sure", or "I've got stuff to do, but you go ahead."

No problem in going to the range, just tell Doris that I'm going.

    The downside:

Why do you have to clean the guns in the kitchen?
Cause its better than on the living room carpet.

Why is there a charge or check for $200 at the gun shop.
    Had to have ammo!

Why is there a $500 charge or check to the gun store?
The new gun in the safe (that she did not know about) was such a good "One Time" deal, that I could not let somebody else suck it up.

You gotta love them female species..
