OK guy & Gals, have you wanted extra protection in case of theft of finding you toys back?
I'm one for sure dont want to lose my toys, so I started to look around for miniture tracking transmitters.
So I'm putting out feelers to see if anyone would be intrested.
THIS IS NOT A OFFER TO CREATE SELL'S OR SELL, JUST WHAT THE INTREST LEVEL WOULD BE!
These operate on UHF & VHF at 100mw, land range is about 1 mile, air coverage is about 5 miles.

The smallest tracking transmitter. It measures only: 0.3"x 0.55"x 0.25". It is the smallest tracking transmitter of it's kind. The range of this little unit is amazing - over 1 mile LOS or 5 miles from the AIR with a special receiver and high gain antenna. It is excellent for covert applications or experiments. This small transmitter is using VHF or UHF band. Almost any frequency is available thanks to a special PLL microprocessor circuit. This tracking transmitter has built-in special adjustable timer 0-5 minutes per delay cycle. Transmitter is fully crystal controlled with amazing frequency stability (.005%). The unit is using a 3 V battery with only 0.8 mA Stand by current consumption! The battery can last very long time!
This is just one of many out there, I'm still researching..
So what do you think?

I't sounds good if you're chasing your own stolen car and get caught in traffic, otherwise, 1 mile is like looking for the needle in the haystack, you'd have to know already where it was before tracking.
what ya thinking of, drilling out a riflestock under the pad? would it x-mit out through a safe? could you be tracked through the woods with it?

OTOH, for cars, don't they make one that can be tracked by satellite?

Set the transmitter up with a fishing line trip wire, when the fishing line is removed, 2 strips od copper make the contact, to activate it, its small enough to fit into a magazine for a pistol, or in the buttstock of a ar-15, and will transmit for 3 days.
The reciever is a simple off the the shelf scanner. Depending on how bad you want your stuff back you rent a airplane for an hour to do a search, the transmistters got a 5mile range in the air, once you locate the area when its transmitting from call the locals & meet them.
Then use the scanner again to ground locate the transmitter within a mile, the closer your get the stronger the signal gets.
Once the signal peaks out your within 100 ft of your stuff.
I have used them to locate lost radio controled model airplanes
    and they do work!
Dont know about a bulk price but guessing about $40-$100 per transmitter.
