Irvine, CA?

It looks like work will be taking me to Irvine the first week of June, and I'll have ample free time in the evenings. Is there anyone in the area that might be up for a beer and/or dinner? Are there any attractions or things I should be sure to check out? Thanks . . .

Go check out the UC Irvine's nuke lab being protected by some heavy duty gunners. I think it was Irvine.

Saddleback Mountain whould still be the closest place to get away from the poop. Hopefully they haven't changed the name to Brokeback.

My memories of Irvine consist of sitting at a dead stop on a freeway clogged with traffic. You might as well face the fact that your life will be miserable from here on out, or at least as long as you stay there. I guess they have concerts at Irvine Meadows, no matter what genre floats your boat. Have fun in the epicenter of So Cal culture [}:)][;)]

Fortunately, I am only there for a week.

Do they still have the 45/70 Gatling Gun you can shoot? (If anyone could afford it.) The bad part about it is the location. I am afraid to ride my motorcycle there thru the bee farm.

The obvious place to consider going is Disneyland but I would suggest Knotts Berry Farm instead. The old Ghost Town should appeal to most people on this site. Too bad it isn't free anymore but the entrance fee includes all the rides all day.

last year they did not have the gatling or the 50 BMG's.
One year i made the mistake of going right to the Barrett booth, after
that the thrill was gone to shoot anything else, but I did[:p]
I know in Texas they have those shooting fairs and a lot better than
    hellifornia.
I'll be goin to the fair on the 2nd and going to my place in texas on the 3rd to do some work on it for bout a month, gettin ready for the big move.

Go to Newport Beach & Ruby Island!
School is out and so is everything else, that falls out while the young hotties pedal their bicycles down the beach.

Black Barts Bar in Newport Beach, their mirrored picture window at the bus stop, is way hot...
