Nasty download from Adobe?

Late this afternoon I downloaded a pop up of the 11.5 Adobe Flash player. My computer is about 2 weeks old and it stopped functioning a few minutes after I downloaded and activated it. I have windows 7 and couldn't get my homepage to load completely. Needless to say-no internet. Called my ISP and was told after several minutes of tests that my computer was at fault and to call them. I found the uninstall programs feature on my control panel and thought I would try to take the download for adobe off. My computer was back up and running as soon as the download was uninstalled. Hope this keeps some of you safe from this sort of malware. Thanks for listening.-Mike

My last resort was to uninstall everything, clean my registry, Wipe my HD. and do a clean install.
It seems to be happy now-[:)]
You can find different flash players, pdf readers, etc!
