I can't believe that this crowd is so fussie over some issues. Some things like God, Confederate Flags, Jennings firearms, and other controversial subjects get beat to death like someone is actually going to see your point of view and change their mind. Truth is, the more you fuss the more folks are going to rebel; Human nature I believe. If you don't like something don't ask Nunn to poof it or tell everyone it should be banned, cause then you sound like a bunch of dang liberals. Sometimes I wonder if we ain't got a few here.

Liberals suck! Act like grown folks people.

I believe the Diverse Subject Matter is what makes this Bullitan Board Interesting.
Although I do skip over some subjects such as religion. I just think I should keep that to my self because I'm not a Preacher.

I learned a lot talking with southerners about the Civil War, not necessarily to change my mind 100% but to see their side of it.

And joking about the Jennings pistols is just plain fun! The best thread was some time back, from somebody claiming to have put 5,000 rounds through one in one day at the range.

With God as my guide and my helper I placed my confederate flag atop of my indestructable Ford truck and drove it out to the old cival war battle fields in search of the ever so easy to kill whitetail deer and then I got my modified Jennings that fires .223s and killed 20 of them from distaces of over 500 yds. If anybody says I didnt do it they need to be banned, I will not tolerate negative comments about my actions.

We have to remember to take what 7MM says with a grain of salt. His ramblings are due to taking too many bugs to the head at 120MPH.

The right to free speech stands here.and should be stronger here than any where else.As far as I know we stand as one or most of us do.As long as its not insulting or disgraceful it is your right at G.B. discretion or nunns to post it.I missed the Jennings story,I think I assume hes talking about it being modified,is it a rifle? I take people here by word of mouth and thats what all of us expect when we post something.I have never heard nothing ludacrust. And a gun does not have to cost a fortune to do what it was intended to do.
Some one please feel me in on the Jennings .223!

I think ya'll are missing my point. Sure, I believe in free speech as well. Here's the deal, you ain't changin' my mind about jack! Some of us continuously beat the dead horse of the Confederate flag, good and bad. The 223 on deer, another dead horse. Jennings pistols are bad, once again, dead horse. Shipping firearms, not again please.

How did I wake up with this damn spoon in my hand?

    Will; Ever hear of alzheimers?

Perhaps... Any-who, Some subjects are like sex, just aren't worth bringing up in mixed co. Hard to argue physics with "Bubba" Bubba don't care, let alone read. I find the subject matter of ailliens is another. And how about the "Pallestinian and Jeruselum" issue?

I hear ya, just thought I'd chyme in to see what happens to me!

I agree, but you neglected to mention the radical right "Jesus is Lord" dead horse.... They're the ones who think there must be liberals on this board. No, they're called Lutherans....Hehehe. As far as not changing any minds, you're right there too. If the Radical Right could change minds, they might have gotten one of their TV preachers past the Republican primaries. But they never do.

Hey, everybody, have a great 4th of July, and I mean that part seriously. I hear a few fireworks outside. Stay safe. And leave the shooting into the air to the cave dwellers this year, eh? Those rounds have to come down someplace.

OK 270, here's a good whip of the whisk.

For many, a place like this is the last best hope for acceptability, for being seen as an equal, for getting a fresh start. We are all strangers who do not pass in the night, but, reciprocally, bump into each other, step on each other's toes, invade space and worst of all, point out weaknesses. As such, we sincerely try to be on our best behavior, raising the alarm when issues like race, religion, gender and the relative worth of a .223 come up so as not to seen as crass, crude or boorish (or heaven forbid, ignorant). But are we sincere?

A persons race is not of his or her choosing. But it certainly dictates whether certain opportunities are offered or even made available. This tends to drive like groups together with the predictable results. Lack of diversity allows right by might to succeed, the strong or vicious dominate. It follows then that just the color of a person's skin assigns them to the group along with all the attendant attributes, regardless of that person's personal merit. The exact same thing applies to religion, gender .

When we meet here, we cannot be assigned to a group. We can be what we want to be. It enhances our true self, (a bad thing, as Bill Cosby said, if you are basically an azzhole). So the PC thing is a subterfuge, designed to make us look like we'd want people to think we look. We are here because we need to be here. And the stronger the need, the more attentive we are to reading and posting (that tells us something about the 5 star thing, doesn't it?). We allow others to see as much of our true selves as they need to see to respond to us. And again, the stronger the need, the more information we will divulge. Convergent with that exposure comes the opportunity for exploitation and so the constant search for the balance to satisfy our need to be recognized and at the same time protect our privacy.

    Ain't life grand?

Whiteclouder..."designed to make us look like we'd want people to think we look"?...that is really deep man! I guess when it includes pseudo-intellectuals,holier-than-thou preacher wanna-bees,and regular azzholes like me,it can't be too bad.Oh darn,I went and said something about bees..Anyhow,have a great Fourth of July people! I have just bought some really killer fireworks, they are legal here in AL,and I can't wait till it gets dark... I am also celebrating my own independance from alcohol and organized religion for more than a couple of years now...
