I like it. Nice imagery as well. That guy can actually sing, which is refreshing.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Excellent. I also like Jimmi Hendrix's rendition

I'm sorry, but being over 40, this version leaves me cold. It is too show businessy.
My preference is for the Navy or the Marine Corps Band arrangements of the National Anthem.
If you really want to hear something different-and beautiful, you should listen to the original civil war era band arrangement. It is available on youtube.
    Enjoy!

I am over 40 too but I guess since I am an old rocker I liked it.

Is the bands name a reference to James Madison?

I was a season ticket holder for the flyers for many years and watched Kate sing that song many time. Now they have Lauren Hart sing it and belive it or not, She is a little better in my humble opinion. Plus a whole lot cuter.[:D] But boy oh boy could Kate belt that tune out. They still have videos of her singing before the flyers games sometimes. Also God bless america

Those are nice, but as you point out, age will have something to do with it. Few young people such as myself love the flag or are drawn to the more traditional versions of our national anthem.

Waco, I looked into them a little bit and yes, it's a James Madison reference. At least the lead singer is also a Navy veteran, idk about the others. I got a few more songs after hearing this on my computer, their stuff is all based on conservative american values and pride.
