I need another batch of chicks. I want 8-10 bared Rock and about the same Buff Orphington or Rhode Island red.
Most of the time I jut go to tractor supply for them but am trying to avoid buying anything from them.
Is there a good place to buy chicks and get them mailed to you?

And I got the Buff Orpingtons, if you have predators try Phoenix. And the other is Araucanas/Ameraucanas.

pay extra and get them sexed unless you want 15 roosters, stay away from straight runs at farm stores

The ones I see are really scrawny, dirty and diseased, not worth the investment [V]

In the past, transport drivers would put baby chicks in the truck cab and mail carriers took extra care of the boxes. We even called the recipient and made special arraignments for delivery to assure best possible chance for survival and healthy chicks.
