PSA AR Problem

Can anyone here share experiences (positive or negative) regarding PSA AR rifles / parts?
I have some of their ("blemished" but perfect) lowers and decided to finish one with a PSA upper. I bought an 18" stainless with rifle-length gas system, 1:7 twist. I mounted a new Leupold scope and on my first range trip I experienced severely random / erratic points of impact with standard M855 ammo. Impossible to zero.
Suspecting the scope, I returned to the range with the rifle, along with another AR (DPMS lower/Spike's upper) on which was mounted an identical but proven scope. I tested both rifles then switched the scopes. The "suspect" scope zeroed right in just fine on the other AR. The PSA continued to perform erratically with the other scope.
I contacted PSA, who immediately sent me a return label so the problem could be fixed. I sent it back and they returned it very quickly. They indicated the barrel had been replaced, but I believe it was a whole different upper. So, off to the range again...
To my surprise and disappointment, the rifle performed exactly as before. My Bushmaster Varminter AR was printing sub-moa for me that day, so I was pretty sure I was not the problem. For an independent assessment, I invited the Range Safety Officer, an NRA Certified Instructor, to try the PSA. Between the two of us, using 3 different types of ammo, we determined the rifle just didn't shoot worth a crap.
At my request, PSA just sent me another prepaid return label and promised me a refund upon its return. Kudos to PSA for their customer service, but I doubt I'll ever have the confidence to order another one of their uppers. Anyone care to share their experiences?
