Any good Crop (Veggies) to plant now?

I have several large 20 gal. pots of high end Miracle grow potting soil mixed with other top soil and manure mixes.

I planted tomato's but did not diligently water and fertize them this year.

Although my hot peppers are doing okay, not great.

(I've had no energy, Heart issues, another story.)

I'd like to utilize the pots, be more diligent and harvest some good eats.

I love growing things, especially Veggies to harvest and enjoy.

Advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Here in the NorthBest, Kale, Swiss Chard, Cauliflower, Broccoli all grow well in our unheated, unlit Greenhouse during the Winter Months.

Depends where you live doesn't it :)

I think you might be getting close to Cabbage, broccoli, Etc.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Suppose to be down in the 50's for low temps for the next week or so. Fall is definitely on the way. Cauliflower would be my choice.

Some folks do a fall crop of beets. they can't stand heat, but do pretty well in cool temps. Certain varieties do well in containers. If you've never had baked beets served cold with crumbled with cheese and roasted pistachio nuts, you've never lived.

Pretty much anything you would plant in early spring you can plant for the fall. Root vegetables especially, radishes, green onions, carrots. Beets and turnips do well in the fall. As already stated, broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are good. Leaf lettuce has time to make. Peas another option that should make.

Beets and turnips may have enough time before frost.

It's past time to plant turnips in the midwest but they'll still "make it under optimum conditions".
