I will be there for a few days later this year. October to be exact. We are heading down there for a wedding. The wife is in the wedding party and promised to help lend a hand with anything the bride needs help with(the bride did the same for her when we got married).
Anyways, I will have quite a bit of free time and don't feel like sitting in the hotel the whole time. I am already planning on heading up to Columbia and visiting MidwayUSA. I will probably say hi to Larry. [:D] What else is there to do in that area?

If you like wine there is a bunch of winerys to tour In oct alot of the small german towns will have October fest going . There is also a sporting clay course close to Columbia
There are a couple of "black gun" stores in Columbia. One is on Providence just west of the 763 junction. CMMG is within driving distance. There's a place at Auxvasse(Black Market Arms?).If you're that far north, you might hit Graf's at the south edge of Mexico.
PS
Pistols Plus does have a selection of handguns that many places don't have. They also have a nice little display of military and unusual arms.
Augusta Missouri has the most and perhaps best wineries. Danial Boones last house is just off the road From Jeff to Augusta, which is a pretty drive.
But, they don't have a storefront. Best bet is SHOT Show.
Larry is a very nice guy. Chatted with him on several occasions.

Dang! I figured I wouldn't actually get to meet Larry, but I didn't realize that they didn't have a storefront.
I will still have to drive by and take a picture of the warehouse. I have been ordering stuff from them since I was young.

Good luck on "saying hi to Larry". They don't have a walk in storefront. If you want something, you'll have to pre-order with a pickup date.

I didn't realize that was where Graf's was. Very cool! I will definitely be hitting that place up just to say I have been there. That is another place I order stuff from every so often.
Yeah, I really like the gunshops and sporting goods stores, so keep them coming guys! I can spend hours walking around a new sporting goods store, just eyeing up the inventory and prices. [:D]

The wineries are a great idea for when the wife gets a break from the wedding stuff. She really enjoys them. Thanks!
I am going to have to start writing this stuff down.

This link has some information on the winerys plus afew other things http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs010/1102290150619/archive/1106289442967.html While the wife is doing her thing you may enjoy the Missouri State Penitentiary Tours I really liked it my great uncle Clem was a guard there for 30 years so for me to see where he worked was neat
I love history, so that is right up my alley! [8D] I will definitely be doing that.
