    I can do without it.

I think too many people put too much importance on pro sports. The majority of our society looks up to pro athletes who are not worthy of "hero" status and make very poor role models.

How 'bout a good college game?

I like Mark Bulgers composure in the pocket, he is one of the most accurate Quarterbacks out there if he gets the protection from his line. With that said, the Rams O-Line isn't looking too good. I know its only pre season, but, if they don't get their crap together and start blocking, Warner won't last the season and neither will Bulger without suffering injury. Thursday the Steelers play the Cowboys, that will be a good one to watch too. Steelers finally got rid of Cornhole Stewart, WHOOPEE!

    Hey 4Godandcountry:
I didn't know you were a Steeler fan. I knew there was something about you I liked. How do you think we will do this year. My early forecast. 12-4 If Bettis gets 1000 and Maddox gets 20+ TDS and stays healthy: We go all the way. What say you?[8D]

I kind of lost interest when Johnny U retired the Baltimore Colts. Football players use to play for the love of the game. They had to have off season jobs to pay the bills. They lived in the same neighborhoods as the working class fans that cheered them on. Now its a production of primadonna rich kids and breaks for commercials. See more heart on a Friday night at a Texas highschool game.

Big Daddy my heros have always been cowboys, they still are it seems

Monday Night Football is a harbinger for my favorite season that is yet to come. Changing colors and the smells of fall are right around the corner. I just got home from work so I missed the game but there's always the next one!

Night Stalker--I feel like an idiot because I just put 2 & 2 together and was wondering something. Are you with the 160th?

royc38, The Steelers should have a great season, watch out for Amos Zeroue, hes gonna bench Bettis, hes even quicker on his feet this year and he put on another 25 lbs. Amos is a workhorse, I see great things in his future.

    I've always been a Cowboy fan,BUT,
I feel the same as BDJ.Twenty years ago,
I would watch football all weekend and on
Monday night.Nothing could tear me away from
    it.Now,with all the commercialization,I don't
even care to watch the Super Bowl unless we've
got a good round of poker to ease the boredom.
I haven't watched a regular season game in at
least five years, maybe ten.Rather be huntin'.

IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.

This girl has been waiting for the season to start for far too long. I'm already parked in front of the tv, ready to yell at the players and the refs.

I love myself and so should you!

Although I like Kurt Warner, my NFL loyalties are with the Dallas Cowboys...they haven't been doing to well in recent years, but there is always hope for the coming season.

Met up with Roger Staubach a couple of years ago and had him sign a couple of footballs for the kids....one of my all time favorite players. We went on a ride in an old restored Army Jeep...he got the biggest kick out it, said he hadn't been in one like it since Vietnam.

Couple of years ago I was in South America watching ESPN (Spanish version) when I fell asleep....woke up about 1:00 AM in a sleepy state only to find Tom Landry walking the side lines of an NFL game against the Pittsburg Steelers. I thought Tom had retired years ago, why was he back coaching? Still sleepy, I heard the anouncers talking about Terry Bradshaw and Staubach. This was getting real wierd....then I realized it was "ESPN's Classics", replays of old NFL games....those were the days!

Rembrandt--Knowing you and TrinityScrimshaw.....you guys would get along like two peas in a pod. The Dallas Cowboys connection is just another similarity that is almost uncanny.

Roger Staubach in the front and Nick Lowrey (KC Chiefs kicker) in the back...couple of real gentlemen.

Rembrandt, they don't make Quarterbacks like they used to. Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, Fran Tarkenton, Kenny Stabler.
