Went to the ranger today, and as promised, I brought my .45 for my fiance to plink with. For the first time since I had it I used CCI Blazer 230gr. Ball ammo.I have been shooting the Winchester equivalent, but wanted to try something new.No problem with feeding
no mis-fires,but the muzzle flash was very prominent! It scared my fiance at first, but I was shocked myself at the muzzle flash the CCI loads threw out.My question is, what is the significant difference between the Blazers and the other stuff that I've been shooting(besides the casings)? Also after just a few magazine of this stuff,
her white shirt was peppered with spent powder.

Yea, honestly i'd buy them if they were in normal brass cases that were reloadable. I mean the price is good, and it shoots just fine, its just I don't shoot cause I'm a handloader and can make better loads for cheaper, but as far as someone not reloading its great. I really wish people'd quit shooting it so much at the range, cause when I pickup a bucket of brass I really hate sorting all that junk out, those and them darn wolf cases.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Have shot quite a few of these through a .45 acp UZI Carbine. They burn very clean in the long barrel! The difference seems to be that CCI is using a slower burning powder, (which works best in .45 acp, .357 mag, etc.), than some of the other ammo makers. With a shorter barrel, it becomes pretty apparent when the charge is not completely burned by the time the bullet exits the barrel. Still burning behind the bullet and the flash is seen. All burned up, (faster burning powder), and no flash...... Slow burning powders produce muzzle flash when fired from short barrels. However, long barrels like the 16 inch UZI carbine produce some mighty impressive ballistic figures with this ammo.......

i had purchased 200 rounds of it in .357 magnum for my revolver . since i dont reload i thought the aluminum case would be fine, well,it turns out the ammo only fits into 2 of the 6 cyls(the same round was used in each cyl.)., i took it to a local gun guy, he tried a box of remingtons, the same round dropped right into each cyl.i dunno....... i cant use them so why keep em. maybe ill put em up for auction,im sure someone else could use em.
