OK I was wondering if there are any GB members in the Denver area????
Seems like ole Dupont is the only one out here in this area!!

Would be neat to meet a member, maybe even head to the north fourty
and make some noise!!!

Of course I can play the piano, as long as it has pedals!

im in aurora, several places to shoot around here, but some of the ranges are getting kinda weird. used to go to firing line, but refuse to step foot in the place anymore.

One time at the Firing Line was once to many for me!! All seem to have there problems any more! My brother in law lives out on gunclub rd.
He shoots at that range out there, been there a few times with him, not to bad! Now I go out by Hudson on private land and am able to make as much noise as I can.

I am in the foothills. I belong to the Clear Creek County Sportsman's Club, and do most of my shooting there. It is up I-70 just past Idaho Springs. (Dumont) Everytime I see you (Dupont) post I think of shooting. Ha Ha. It is a members only club, but I can bring guests. Weather permiting the wife and I will be there this Thursday. Here is a link to the web page.http://www.cccsclub.com/If you look, I am in the center row, up front, on the right, with the white and brown baseball cap, and blue flannel shirt on. Sure looks like a bunch of old geezers huh. LOL. We put a cap on the number of memberships last year, I do not know if we have reached it or not yet, I know we are getting close. For the last few years, when I was on National Forest land shooting, (1/2 hour to 45 minutes from my house) there were too many bicycles and others giving me a bunch of grief about it. I do still go there sometimes. I used to be a member of the Golden Gun Club, until they moved to far east. Was a member of the club by Interlocken, until the urban creep caused them to close too. Also used to shoot alot at Mile High Shooting Park until they closed. I can not remember the name but there used to be one on Wads. & Jewell?, pistol amd 100 yard rifle, indoors, but they closed also. There are getting to be fewer and fewer places to shoot on the west side. I tried the Firing Line once. If that is the one in aurora, off I-225 that used to have the full auto's for rent. That was a kick in the *. Boulder has a gun club, but the waiting list is about 10-12 YEARS long.elmos608 where is the shootist?Dupont where is the north fourty? Hudson?

If I knew then, what I know now.

    pickenup,

The Shootist is off Santa Fe/US 85 and Dartmouth, actually it is one block east of Santa Fe on Galapago. I like it because it's clean and well ventilated. It's relatively small but it works for me.

Have a friend that has about 200 acres by Hudson. No problems doing any shooting there, lots of room and good backdrops! No one complains!
Even has a patch of praire dogs on it. These are thinned out about once a year!

i agree with you on the firing line. i live about 5 minutes from gun club road, but have never been out that way to shoot.

id suggest lets all get together for coffee some morning...might even be able to arrange a saturday at the range or something...i dont know many in the Denver area, and even fewer that are into shooting around here. might be fun...
