Tikrit, Iraq-AP -- Iraqi singers are praising Saddam Hussein as the symbol of their "dignity and pride."

Saddam is 65 today. And the day is being marked with the annual displays of loyalty to the Iraqi leader.

Today's main festivities in his hometown of Tikrit featured school girls performing traditional Arab dances and waving Iraqi and Palestinian flags.

Official newspapers have published letters from well-wishers congratulating the president and renewing their allegiance to him. Television blares songs of praise.

Iraqi dissidents abroad denounce the birthday celebrations as a huge -- and hugely expensive -- charade. Government officials, however, argue Iraqis participate spontaneously by the thousands.



How about several canisters of our most expensive biological agent sprinkled very delicately and expertly around his habitats.

We don't want to over do it so the agent must be able to do it's job and die out within 24 hours-[heard about it on PBS]

    How about we give him bullzeye as a present. Let him parachute in to iraq for Saddams birthday. We also have to stamp on him No! refunds/No! returns.

    Sorry Law that wownt work, the boys antics will keep him amused and he will keep the boy for when he needs a laugh or work done on his AK, after all he needs someone in the know to fix it when it does break. WE want to catch him not assist him
