Game camera's

I have a Stealth Cam MC 2-B.....It has taken four rolls of film. 24 each. I have nine pics of deer
two pics of *
two pics of armidillo's
one pic of a possum
The rest are of nothing......I had the camera in three different places.......Nothing close to the motion censor , no branches or anything to make it go off..........They suggest mounting it 6 feet high.....I think thats too high........I'm thinking about placing some tape on the outer area eye, this may make it give less blank pics........

Any of you have any game camera's??????? any hints appreciated...

thanks coonass

Does it take good pics..........On a roll of film how many are of "nothing" so to speak..........I'm not sure why this camera malf says 6 feet high........I will play with the height and try diff levels...........Have ya been yotes hunting lately........

Yes it is the Trail Timer Photo Hunter.I have had it for two years,And it stays out year round. The only problem I have had,Was when I did not use the 9 volt battery they recomend.I do get some blanks, But not many.If you gat a blank at night, Look real close for a small streak of light. It is usualy a bird are flying squirrel.

Have not been able to hunt.Had a bad reaction to the treatment I am taking.have been losing the skin on hands and feet. After the last goaround lost all the skin on my legs.Sitting here growing new skin and geting mader at the coyotes that howel at me every night.Had to take a ambulance ride Friday morning.Blood pressure went to 244/146 due to pain.CAT scan said no stroke. They have me heavly medicated,So I havent been posting much.

Varmit take care of your self......That was a really high BP.....
Just think the longer you wait to go hunt those yotes the more they will have when you do get out , make sure to bring some extra shells..
Where do you live? I think you asked me before, I'm from south louisiana..........If I can figure how to post some pics, I will....

    Take care, coonass

My guess is that even an insect flying right in front of the sensor could set it off. Maybe some repellant in the immediate vicinity?

I got two trespassers on mine.Sent them the picture,They haven't been back.I have some land that I lease at the end of a dead-end road.Had all kinds of dumping problems.I got a sign shop to make me a large sign Red letters on white background stating(Notice this property under inferred camera surveillance).Has just about done away with trespassing and dumping.

Hey Varmit Hunter, I was in your town last week. Spent the night there at the "J". I was also in Houston and thought about SMunkey but didnt have a lot of time. I have relatives in Orange, my Uncle had a used car lot there some time ago. Wished I had known you was there, coulda gave you a call.

On the subject of the cams, I want to get a couple cameras for some pre season scouting on a few of my stands but I'm undecided on what to get. I don't want to dump alot of cash but I want something that will take good pics day or night. I would prefer digital because right now time is very precious and I don't want to wait for the photomat to develop them. Any recomedations??

BTW, Munkey if you read this, what a storm there on Thursday huh? Had me scared!

have shot about 5 rolls of film on my deer cam brand dc-100 cam. i've only got a couple of blanks total. this has been a great cam for $$249.00 i bought it at a local bow shop and they sell it for $30.00 less than bis bad bass pro. had to believe that they are cheaper, but i'm glad they are. out of all that film i've got many deer and a few other small critters, but nothing great.

you can view 2 of my pics here.. www.bowdoc.net

I have been told that the heat sensor units can't pick up object well if the temp outside is 92 degrees or above so just the heat of the day might set the camera off. I got a roll of film with nothing on it when the temp got high here so I haven't put it back out. During the winter I got several deer pictures after they dropped their horns and several pictures of *(one with seven * at once). At the local Wally world they have the Moultree camera for $98.
