History Chnl. Special: Tonight!! "Snipers"must see

Just when I started missing "Tales of the Gun", they renew my faith by coming out with "Snipers". 8-10 EST ,check your History Channel listings. It will cover US, Russian, and British snipers. Can life get any better? No!!, and it will go on and repeat itself again and again. God bless the History Channel., at least somebody in Hollywood is not smoking weed all day. (Tonight means 2/8/03 8-10pm EST).

    Most curious about the Russian snipers. I've heard the tales about their revolutionary expertise in camoflauge and snipers. Wonder how true they are.

    If you are interested in Russian snipers, then I would highly recommend the movie -Enemy at the Gates- with Jude Law. Its about Vasili Zaytsev.

    For parties interested in an educational study upon Snipers,they should procure the works of Peter Senich.

    His research is amazing and all volumes are jam packed,with pertinent info. Exceptional attention to detail and excellent reads to boot...................

    Just watched both episodes. Those guys are awsome. Loved the story about Hathcock shooting the ememy sniper that was hunting him. Bullet through the other snipers scope. Now that's a good shot!

    That was a good show.
    I liked the British sniper rifle, the 338 Magnum. What a whopper cartridge, it looked like a scaled down .50 BMG
    When read the book about Hathcock, I was struck by his use of the .50BMG, sniping at ranges of a mile or more. It seemed to me that the sniper services could come up with a rifle with more punch than the .308
