Well my trip to Dallas was posponed for awhile. We went to Portola Kalifornia for my mom's birthday.Stayed for a few days, then went to Reno to gamble a little.(don't ask)Then went over to Sparks to a shooting Range. This place rents submachine guns to shoot. They had a Thompson,a Uzi,and a MP40.I shot the Thompson 45ACP.What a kick.$35.00 for 50 rounds.A little expensive, but still a kick. The weapon is heavy enough there is no felt recoil.Nevada from what i heard, and saw seems to be very gun friendly.Except for Reno, and a few other towns, they have open carry.Closed carry with permit. They sell guns in lots of stores besides gun stores.Drug store near us sold guns.I have always liked Nevada for it's history, and old cars. Now i have another reason to go back there.Driving home through Oregon to Washington saw a Oregon shooting range that offers machinegun rentals also.

That sounds like something I would really like to do. If I ever get out that way, I will do it. If anyone knows of a place like this 300 miles or so from Chicago, please let me know.

Hey Doc, If youre even crazy enough, you can get an out of state CWP for Nevada. A lot of californians are crossing the state line to apply for these permits. There were a couple in a class where I sat in last year. Out of curiosity I asked these younger people how many times they were planning to be in NV in a yearly basis... two or three days max (to go gambling cause they all just turned 21) was the response I got. Why in hell you would want to get a CWP for a couple days stay on the casinos in RENO is beyond me. then again, theres a lot of things that are alien to me.

Although my dad was a radioman in the Army Air Corps in WW2, while he was in basic he fired a Tommy gun. He still enjoys talking about that. He says it climbed to the right.
