Special Forces Brother of slain former SEAL dies of wounds
By Joby Warrick
Two years ago, an Arkansas family learned they had lost a son. This past weekend, they learned they had lost another.
Sgt. 1st Class Benjamin B. Wise, 34, of Little Rock, Ark., died of wounds sustained during combat in Afghanistan, two years and 11 days after his older brother, Jeremy Wise, was killed in a suicide bombing at Forward Operating Base Chapman near the eastern Afghan city of Khost.
Benjamin Wise, a Green Beret with the U.S. Army's 1st Group, 3rd Battalion, was on his fourth overseas deployment when his unit was attacked by insurgents. According to a memorial Web site set up by family members, he was struck six times by bullets and suffered extensive wounds to his legs and abdomen.
Military doctors at the U.S. military hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, amputated both legs in an effort to save him, but Wise succumbed to his wounds on Sunday, according to the Pentagon.
Jeremy Wise, a former Navy SEAL who was part of the CIA's security detail at Khost, was killed on Dec. 30, 2009, by CIA informant Humam al-Balawi, a Jordanian national working undercover in Pakistan. Balawi concealed a suicide vest under his clothes when he arrived at the base for a meeting with his CIA handlers.
After gaining access to the CIA compound, he killed himself and nine others, including five CIA officers, two American security guards, a Jordanian intelligence officer and an Afghan operative working with the CIA.
Benjamin Wise is survived by a wife and three children, as well as his parents, a sister, and a younger brother who is still on active duty with the Marines.

Nuff Said[:(]
What a waste this war is...
Need to send all these bickering politicians over there and let them fight the war they started.
I bet we would have that pipe line and be drilling for oil here if they had to pick up a rifle, oh wait, to busy trying to take mine away.
I'm so disgusted with the current politicians right now[:(!]
Hope they rest in peace.
What a waste, in such a useless and endless war.
Just as in Vietnam, the politicians have sold the American combat men down the river.
