I guess they don't go for this "peaceable assembly to express grievances" stuff.

Watching those videos, looked like just a bunch of thugs in suits. Seems like a perfect opportunity to introduce them to some good old US pepper spray, rather than treating them with kid gloves as they beat overwhelmed US citizens.
Sorry, I missed this when it happened. Is that because I was busy or it just didn't get any press?

Typical cover up by the Nazi news networks.
There is a video that appears to show the Turkish president ordering his security detail to leave the compound and attack the protesters. Though part of me gets some satisfaction out of watching protesters get their teeth kicked in. For a foreign power to do it on our soil, where this is a constitutionally protected right is egregious. I doubt anything significant will come out of this, perhaps a few expelled diplomats.
I hear that loud and clear! [:D]
Lol
Looks like the thugs were prepared for the usual DCPD tactic of "gently push them back with gloved hands". I see one officer (near the beginning of the clip) who drew his baton, flicked it open, & hit someone in the back with it 2 or 3 blows with little effect apparent.
I'm no expert on non-lethal force, but it seems to me that some folks could use remedial training at the academy. If all the officers had deployed batons (& knew how to use them), the thugs who could still stand would have withdrawn a lot faster.

Kimi's video was interesting.

Based on what I've seen in my career, ASPs are not particularly effective in confrontations other than strikes to hands and wrists which tend to break bone. During a high adrenaline situation I doubt the subject felt the blows to his back until later after the fight. OC spray is far more effective.
Well, the Armenians got treated horribly by the Turks during WW1.
About a million of them were murdered by the Turks.

If you are referring to the cop who wailed on the guy in the green jacket, look as the guy turns around. He whips around and sees its a cop and backs off. You can see his sidearm on his right hip as his jacket rides up. Looks like the cop sees the firearm, and backs off as well.
I'm glad both guys used their heads right then. It could have gotten bad very quick otherwise.
