No, I left Laredo 2 days ago, am now up in the NC mountains. Would be pretty cool if we could meet up at a truck stop sometime.
Don't make it up to Dallas much.

Used to go to El Paso all the time. I love going out there, driving through that west Texas desert.
But about a year ago that work was taken up by Mexican drivers. My company has hired some Mexican drivers, might be Mexican-Americans I don't know, either they live in El Paso or Juarez. These guys are owner operators.
I am not sure if they work cheaper than us Gringos but, sometimes you get a 2 day layover in El Paso and these guys don't mind because they live there.

I am afraid we will see more of this in the trucking industry, especially if these guys work cheaper they will take away more and more American jobs.

Idaho, I'm trying to stay out of WY untill about July, I've had about enough of that artic wasteland this winter!!!

Allen, sitting here at the Flying J in El Paso since my load cancelled I must say I'm amazed at the lack of english speaking truck drivers. Got stuck behind some Mexican trucks driving 40mph in the middle lane in trucks that looked like they should have been in the scrap yard.

NAFTA sealed our fate with the mex and canuk trucks in the USA. Canuks can drive anywhere in the US but the Mexican licensed trucks are still restricted to a certain distance of the border crossing and I hope they keep it that way.

Very rarely, haven't been over that way in over a year. Mostly run from Greenville SC down to Laredo.

I have spent a lot of time at Flying J El Paso, usually went across I 10 to the TA.
