Allen, I never heard of Art Bell. The artical was kinda vague. Can you give me a little background of him and his show??? It seems like a cool show and I might be able to pick it up on my computer. Oakie

Seems everyone around here who works the graveyard shift has the radio tuned to Coast to Coast with George Noory and if you've worked it long enough you remember listening to Art Bell when he was the host. Some of the callers and guests are out there but it makes a slow night seem like it goes a little faster.

I agree, Art was a different experience if you were on the road late at night and needed something to keep you a wake. I enjoyed listening to him. It was weird but interesting.

Here is a FAQ link to answer questions about his return.
Lord only knows how many nights I listened to his show when I was in the middle of nowhere at night while pulling a load of freight cross country.
Truckers called in occasionally with interesting stories about things that we saw after dark on the highways across America and Art had the ability to pose questions that often left listeners scratching their heads.

Art is without a doubt the greatest talk show host of all times at doing what he does.

His use of words and his ability to draw listeners minds and emotions into the drama aired was epic.

Art was a great bull crap artist before he pulled the plug and moved to the Philippines and entered into a deal with Sirius radio that bombed. . Be interesting to see if he's lost his edge.

As far as his trip to see Elvis is concerned, it's been rumored in certain circles that Elvis and Dano are alive and doing well in Shangri-La sipping Jack Daniel's and posting anonymously on this forum.

..My wife used to deliver the Chicago Tribune starting at about 1:30 AM. I did some nights with her and always on Sundays. I didn't hear a lot of his shows but the wife listened to him all the time. Yep, tin foil hat for sure but interesting.

Sounds as if you were a fan for sometime to be so well informed on his show topics.

Oakie he began a show, maybe 30 years ago called "Coast to Coast."
It was on from midnight to 5 am eastern. It was on many many am stations across the land.
Yes, he had lots of shows about crazy conspiracy stuff. But also had shows about ghosts and UFOs etc etc.

I loved listening to his show. Art is a great talk show host and a great interviewer, he really knows how to draw out a guest and get a lot out of him.
Art bailed about 10 years ago and George Noory took over. George is a terrible interviewer, he constantly interrupts his guests. I can hardly stand to listen to the guy.

I am glad Art is back. He is primarily on Iphone with some app, I don't have an Iphone or app. He is on some am stations but none near here.
He is on shortwave also, I may buy a shortwave radio so I can listen. Saw one on CCrane for 80 bucks.

CCrane was a major sponsor of his show, I bought a small one at his urging [:D] and it's a great radio [;)], I could listen to him nightly real clear down here close to the Georgia/Florida line. To me his show was more entertaining than what was on TV at the time.

That is good news! Ole Art and his faithful whack-job callers kept me awake during many a night shift while patrolling the streets. Found it quite entertaining.

I listened to him on my way to my hunting lease in the early am. After listening to the stories sometimes I would wait for the sun to come up before going to my stand.[B)

Alex Jones was one of Art Bell's regulars, I think Art Bell probably had a lot to do with Alex Jones' early success. I think Art left radio for awhile because his wife suddenly died, then he remarried very quickly and moved to Asia (Philippines?) if I recall correctly. I listened to him while on patrol, many a night for years. I could never get into the ghost/UFO stuff but many of the other topics were quite interesting. He is definitely and open minded guy.

Didn't he lose his second Filippino wife, too? Did he skip the islands before her relatives wanted answers? Or did he get a third flip wife and gone back to Parump? Boy goes through them like a six pack.

I stopped listening to the show when he went to the Philippines and found youtube [:D]. Also the hour was 20 minuets spent on pimping crap. I was recently given a C Crane radio and it is nice but I got youtube now.

Tin foil hat and a drama queen.

Entertaining for a couple of hours is about it.

Hard for me to listen. I don't have an Iphone and I don't have an app.
He is only on a few am stations, none near here.
    He is on shortwave.
I dug out an old "survival radio." This old radio, you crank it for 30 seconds and it runs for 30 minutes. Has am/fm and shortwave.
I will try to tune in Art tonight.
