This would explain a LOT of what is going on with Israel. Obama is bound and determined to get Iran loaded with nukes to protect his Muslim buddies from the HUGE, POWERFUL nation of Israel.

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma'an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran's nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.

According to the report, "Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army's chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran's nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel's security."

The sources added that Gantz and his commanders prepared the requested plan and that Israeli fighter jets trained for several weeks in order to make sure the plans would work successfully. Israeli fighter jets reportedly even carried out experimental flights in Iran's airspace after they managed to break through radars.

    It would not surprise me if this was accurate. I believe Obama feels that Iran has a right to possess nukes and in his mind will bring stability to the region.

    Myself, if I was the leader of Israel, I would make him shoot down one of my planes then see how he explains that. I doubt he would.

    I'd say some 'unnamed minister' should be put up on charges, or soundly dick slapped with a horse cock.
    Israeli citizens should know by now, our current administration does not have their security and welfare at heart. Why wouldn't a so called minister believe the same?

    fake story. do you really think israel would tell john Kerry of all people that they were planning to bomb iran? what a joke. the israelis do what they want. they don't get the usa approval before doing so. they will bomb iran, that much is sure, but the usa will do nothing to stop it. the bible is very clear that the last war will start between Israel and an arab federation with Russia. Israel knows they cant let iran have the bomb or they are done for.

    That is a wild story. Might be true. If so, it explains the deep animosity between Netanyahu and Obama.

    The reason I suspect it is untrue is that Israel has one of the best intelligence services in the world, and I don't think they would leak the plans to Kerry and Obama.

    Imagine if this had taken place, and we could find an American pilot to carry out shooting down an Israel Jet.

    Think how that would have made Obama, not to mention America look in the eyes of the Free World.

    I would like to think our air force and naval commanders would have refused to obey that order knowing it was immoral

    They could have used the argument "I was just following orders" when committing an immoral act is not defensible as was demonstrated at Nuremberg

    Attacking an ally in defense of an enemy would be a tough thing for a commander to justify

    IMO, I think is may be BS because I have to think Netanyahu would have forced his hand.

    Israel has some of the best fighter pilots in the world! I believe ol Benji woulda carried it out if this story were true.

    Netanyahu actually is a real man, a real leader. If he had wanted to do so, he would have dared the spineless muslim lover in charge to stop him, which of course would have caused a golf vacation to be interrupted, and thus nothing would have been to stop him.

    Anyone remember when Israel bombed the reactor site in Iraq?

    If I recall correctly (which might be questioned) Israel had the gumption when the U.S. did not. I don't see that changing any time soon.

    That's right. Israel saw that Saddam was building nukes, sent in a strike force at 1am and took out the nukes.

    If a Community Organizer like Obama was in charge of Israel for 8 years, that country would cease to exist. Sadly this nincompoop is in charge of the greatest, and most powerful country in the world, and he can screw up time and time again and our great land can still be standing.
