UPDATE: Prayers and good wishes for my only niece

UPDATE: A hearty thank you to all people who prayed for Brenda, my only niece, and to everyone who sent her well wishes too! We thought we were going to lose her, then she regained consciousness. Since then she had a couple of other setbacks with kidney function, and later when she had two stents put in. Word this AM is that they plan to move her out of ICU into a private room. Halleujah! God is great! Hopefully, she will not have any brain damage or other short or long term problems, but make a full recovery...soon!
Yesterday morning my niece was found on the kitchen floor of her apartment down in a little town in Deep East Texas. When medical personnel arrived her heart was beating, but it stopped on the way to the hospital. She had suffered cardiac arrest. The ER acted and put her on life support, which is her current status. Tonight, she opened her eyes, recognizes everyone in the family, but can only squeeze her hand or nod her head to acknowledge questions. She is a long way from being out of the woods and whole again, and I am calling on my GB family of brothers and sisters to keep her in their prayers, or send her your good wishes. Her name is Brenda.

I don't know much about the 'Do Not Resuscitate' document that is in her medical file, but I plan to find out more about very soon, since the doctors and, therefore, the family believed her to be brain dead, with only the slightest chance of recovery. And, if you can believe this, the decision to postpone taking her off of life support last night was postponed until discussing the issue again at a set time this morning. About an hour later is when the nurse broke the good news. A miracle, if you ask me and my kin.
Again, my thanks to everyone for their help and keeping her in your prayers or good wishes.
