Colt Diamondback

My wifes boss gave me a gun today to take home and clean for him. Told me I could shoot it for as long as I like. He pulls out of a holster a like-new 4" .38 Diamondback. He said he inherited it from his wife's aunt. How do I tactfully tell him I'll be shooting it for the next 20 years? This is the first time I've fired one and I must say I'm impressed. Very very nice trigger in both SA/DA. He said he's "thought about getting rid of it", so I suppose the RIGHT thing for me to do is explain exactly what he has and what it's worth? I tell you guys something.......having morals and trying to do what's best is sometimes a royal pain in the *

Politicians, like diapers, should be changed often and for the same reason.

I want one of these, but I don't really see why they want so much for them. Anyone have any insight on them?

In the long run, though it makes it a lot easier to live with yourself. I would explain how nice it is, what it is currently currently worth, and what you will offer if he ever wants to sell it. Then I would clean it very very well and return it to him before your integrity is too thoroughly taxed!

Or he may be checking to see what
kind of person you are. For what
ever reason. Sounds like you will
"pass the test" if it is one.
Of course I have a suspicious mind.
