The Government passes laws to protect you . BS

State and local police swear to protect and Serve> BS

The police are never there at the time of a crime, They are there after the fact.

Failure of the Government whether local or federal, to not allow citizens to protect themselves is in its self a crime.

When a crime occurs in which a death is brought about by a criminal, the Establishment should be held accountable, for not being able to protect the victim.

Sue them for not doing what they are paid to do. AMEN

Its already been tried. Courts say it is not the responsibility of law enforcement to protect you, therefore they are not liable when you are harmed.

"The powers delegated by the proposed constitution to the federal governmentare few and defined, and will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace negotiation, and foreign commerce"

Then they should remove the PROTECT from their logo.

Who,s responibility is it then, If you protect yourself you might just become the criminal.

But that is a chance I take, if they cant do it, then I damn well can,me and my Cousins, COLT, and SMITH AND WESSON

Politics! Don't ya just love it? That's all it is, politics. If someone's not willing to protect themselves to begin with why hold anyone accountalbe anyway? Don't get me wrong when I refer to not willing to protect themselves, I refer to the socialist liberals who think we live in utopia and everybody plays by the rules.

well..I wouldn't be so quick to blame the Police. There are a lot of very fine men and women that put their lives on the line every day. Now, if they had a crystal ball and kept getting there after the fact I would agree.

I would imagine that there might be some people who will take the long way to the seen of an accident or crime(there are always people like that in any kind of job, regardless what it is). Those don't get any sympathy from me,they aren't doing their job to the best of their ability. For the most part, I would say that the police do what they can with what they have.

The politicians, on the other hand, are mostly scum.

I think the concensus is that the police do the best they can given their scarce resources. I don't expect them to protect me all the time, but I do expect to be able to legally pick up where they leave off...
