When was the last time a unification was tried with all the pro-gun groups? Has there ever been one? I know each group has problems with the other.

Doubt you will ever see it happen...organizations have specific by-laws and constitutions they abide by, since all are different each organization goes it's own way. Dues paying members and voting members of the NRA are not going to want directives or influence from outside organizations. If a group has some controversial baggage in it's past, you don't want to be linked to it. Far more problems with this concept than the good it could do.

To act as one, unified voice, compromises will have to be made by all
concerned. But the first step, would be to open a dialogue between
    leadership of NRA,GOA,JPFO,etc.
