My plans as of now for jobs are to join the Military for 20 years if possible, and when I get out (if I get out alive) I want to be around guns. So I was thinking what are some good gun jobs but I really couldnt think of any. Is there a gun type job were I could design new guns(im really good at designing things)? Any other jobs you can think of?

How would I be able to work for Heckler and Koch, or Colt, Beretta, Busmaster, etc. And by that I mean designing firearms?

I either want to TRY to be in the Special Forces, or help arm them with new weapons. Im coming to that junction soon so I better start planning now, and who better to help me than yall.[:)] Who have already been through what I want to experience.

Try armorer in the military, should prep you to be a decent smith when you get out.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

Unit Armorers in the Military usually dont do anything but keep track of the weapons, and who they are assigned to. Weapons that need repair are sent back to the arsenals.

Gunsmithing is another thing, nothing really hard about it. Get some good books on it,

I belong to the American Gunsmithing Association, and I get many updates, and good shortcuts on fixing many guns.

Classic, The armorers must not be doing the same job as they used to. One of my best friends when I was stationed in korea was our unit armorer. He did more than collect weapons and take inventory.
