I bought a NEF .223 today. Its the sb2 laminated stock with heavy barrel. I put a 4.5-14x40 scope on it. That little gun will shoot!!! Shoots as good as my Sendero at a fourth of the price!!! I can already see using it for Doe season this fall. I would be comfortable with head shots at 100yards with it. You and 7mm talking about help me make up my mind about it.

    No, Mine has the black and grey stock with a stainless barrel. The guy said they didn't make it anymore. The barrel looks like a matte Nickle, but you can tell its stainless by the bore and chamber.

    Got 1 in 243 cal. put a 6.5 - 20pwr. simmons scope on top. Love the gun, want new scope though. Gave it to my boy for deer rife I use it for groundhogs. Looked at thompson contender and went with the NEF. Cant immagine the thompson shooting any better. Very accurate firearms.

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
