Mudge Update

Thank you so much for all of your get well wishes and positive comments. I can't begin to express our appreciation. When I took 15 pages of messages expressing concern and wishes for a quick recovery to him, Mudge's face just lit up! It really made a difference.
He is doing much better today, although he had to be given another unit of blood. I thought he would weep from pure joy when they removed the Foley catheter! He is sitting up and taking a few steps around the room, but the surest sign that he is on the mend is that he has the nursing staff in stitches with his wry comments.
Iconoclast.....The hospital is the one made famous (or infamous) a couple of weeks ago when they discovered there the guy from Utah that they were looking for for questioning in the disappearance of Elizabeth Smart.

City Hospital
Dry Run Road
P.O. Box 1418
Martinsburg, WV 25402
Room 501

Again....THANK YOU all SO MUCH!!!!!!! I'm sure he'll be back to the Forum soon.

Mrs. Mudge, the VERY optimistic

I can't come to work today. The voices said, STAY HOME AND CLEAN THE GUNS!

To paraphrase Chris from The Magnificent Seven. "Not only did I get
    nominated, I got elected."
My glucose was 248 (arrrgghh), my bad cholesterol 221, my good
cholesterol was 30. My bathroom now looks like a pharmacy. I now
have to take Avandia, Teveten, Lipitor, Metformin, Verapamil,
80mg aspirin, and Nexium. YEEEHA. Takes a quart of water to get all those down.
Oh yeah....plus stab myself in the finger 3 times a day.

That leads me to another question.
Do any of you "geezers" who have medicaid and have diabetes use
the "supplies" services I've seen on TV? (Or any similar service for
that matter.)If so, would you be kind enough to give me a rating of
their service and costs? If anyone deals directly with Medicaid, I'd
appreciate some info on how that's done and how much (or little)
    hassle it is.
I have a prescription mail-in service through my UAL retirement
that's pretty good. Don't know how they're going to react to the
stack of prescriptions I sent 'em yesterday though.

What I'm trying to say here is....I need info.

    Mudge the appreciative

Just make sure Mrs Mudge ties that gown securely in the back. If the nurses giggle as you pass by, it might need cinched up a bit.
    Heal Quick!!,,mudge..the drafty

The best "wonder drug" is love, and attitude and Mudge has all of them...

Laughter works wonders too, and I think sometimes the forum can provide that...*EG...

Glad to hear he is feeling better.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
