How Do You Ghillie

Thought this may be interesting to see if anyone has any ideas on the best way to make a ghillie suit and what kind of materials you have used. Im thinking about constructing one myself but have never had any real experience. The main question I have is what to fasten the burlap strips and the string to, (netting, old bdu's, old mil. blanket)?

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    Well if you really want to start on the basics of sniping I'd recommend you get Major J. Plaster's book "The Ultimate Sniper". It has a more than adequate section on making ghillie suits and sniping camouflage. The book is not cheap but it is more than worth the price with the info he provides. Some of his stuff will really improve your 1000 yard marksmanship. Beach

    Have made two Ghillie copies plus a few variants for turkey hunting for myself and friends. I have all the sewing machines, etc., to do the job , but in the long run it would have been easier and in atleast one case cheaper to buy a commercially made suit.

    Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

    Ive seen the pre assembled ones and the kits as well but believe I could make one better and for alot less money. Burlap and twine and some die are pretty cheap.
