Worked 12Hrs yesterday done several Road checks, run and stop.I worked 4:00PM to 4:00AM,I feel like crap.I dont know whats up but I'm sore I ache and I feel like someone tied me to a bumper and made me run and keep up with the car.LOL Strange thing is I didnt have to exert myself at all,and Im in pretty good shape.I feel like I have a hangover but with very sore muscles.I had to arrest Mrs. Doubtfire and I transported her,I may have got intoxicated off her rum odored breath?Im not kidding she almost looked just like Mrs.Doubtfire even had the helloooo Dear with a jolly smile. But back to complaining Im ao sore,my wife fed me some Ibuprofen.Ive got today and tomorrow to go.I dont see how all the standing checking OL's etc would have made me sore, maybe bending down in all those cars trying to get a sniff of booze?Just need a quick pick me up?

Ask the wife for a back massage while in the shower[:D][;)][:p]

Constant bending like you describe could very well be the culprit, next time just sit in a chair and have them drive up to you[:D]

Hopefully, you're not in an area with a large mosquito population; there have been several more cases of the West Nile down here in the (stinkin') desert, with symptoms like body aches, lower back pain (like passing a small kidney stone), and headaches-not much in the way of fever or chills.
If you even THINK you may have it; go get it checked out! Some of the ones down here waited a week too long.

If you know it all; you must have been listening.WEAR EAR PROTECTION!

I don't mean to put an irrational fear in you, but do not discount West Nile virus. You are working during peak mosquito time (4pm to 4am). West Nile virus has similar symptons as you describe and can have serious longterm neurologic effects if you do not receive proper treatment in time. Don't mess around if you are experiencing the following symptoms, see a doctor ASAP. I hope this is not the case with you.

The following is copied from the CDC web page. quote:Symptoms of West Nile Virus

    Q. What are the symptoms of West Nile virus infection?
    A. Most people who are infected with the West Nile virus will not have any type of illness. It is estimated that 20% of the people who become infected will develop West Nile fever: mild symptoms, including fever, headache, and body aches, occasionally with a skin rash on the trunk of the body and swollen lymph glands.

The symptoms of severe infection (West Nile encephalitis or meningitis) include headache, high fever, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, and paralysis. It is estimated that 1 in 150 persons infected with the West Nile virus will develop a more severe form of disease.

    Q. What is the incubation period in humans (i.e., time from infection to onset of disease symptoms) for West Nile encephalitis?
    A. Usually 3 to 14 days.

    Q. How long do symptoms last?
    A. Symptoms of mild disease will generally last a few days. Symptoms of severe disease may last several weeks, although neurological effects may be permanent.Boomer

I want to say thanks to all of you who expressed concern,it means alot. And you also opened my eyes.I normally work 8:00PM-4:00AM and your right about that being the peak time for the critters.I feel better today.I believe what made me sore is because I'm 6'5 and bending down so many times when speaking to people who came through the Road checks seeing if I could smell alcohol.I will start wearing some type of oderless protectant. If I can find any,Hunting season is about to open, and I bet their is a good chance the good stuff is gone.Happy and safe Labor day to you all.

PS Headzilla what is valprin?I dont think Ive heard of it?
