Where can I find 30RD Saiga AK-47 Mags

Im wanting to buy a few of these,I cant see why they werent made to take standard AK-47 Mags?Anyway I would appreciate it if someone knows where sme are?

They are not made to take standard AK magazines because there is a ban on imported semi automatic rifles which can accept magazines over 10 rounds. This is why all the AK rifles like the Romanians have had enough parts exchanged with USA made parts to qualify them as made in the USA. Once this is done you can open up the magazine well to accept a double stack magazine (as well as adding a pistol grip). This has been in effect since 1998 and the Saiga had to be designed not to accept any standard AK magazines over 10 shots or they would be banned from importation. Since magazines produced after 1994 were banned by the Crime Bill there was no possibility to import high capacity Saiga magazines in from abroad but this has now ended and such imports are now possible. What effect this may have on the further importation of semi automatic rifles remains to be seen and with any luck it will be ignored...but don't count on it! Someone may well dust off and look at the 1998 ban and notice that since new high capacity magazines may again be manufacturerd and imported rifles like the Siaga may be in violation, unless they have additional USA made parts installed, if an over 10 shot magazine is installed.

Mark, thank you I always value your input on questions concerning firearms and the like.I was thinking surely they were some put back such as those models for LEO only sales.But after useing my head I realized it was an AK-47 DAAAA!!!Im sure no Agency in America that would carry's the AK-47 as their carbine.Not that the gun isnt worthy,but that would be political suicide.Now I would like to see a Ranking Official in America try to justify why their Officers carry an AK-47 Rifles in the Trunk of their Cruiser.BTW I actually do have natural (of course)Blonde hair.Times like this I think it shows.[8D]And believe I could enjoy the taste of glass of good Brandy about now.[;)]
