[?]ARE THE NEW ENGLAND HANDI-RIFLES OF GOOD QUALITY. I NOTICE THEY ARE RUNNING UNDER $200 FOR THE SINGLE SHOT 243,270,7MM-08 CALIBERS AS WELL AS THE NEW .17 CALIBER. I NEED SOME INPUT ON THIS RIFLE. PLEASE HELP WITH YOUR HONEST OPINIONS.

My dad started my little sister out with one of these and the rifle has held up just fine to my knowledge. I would expect a person who shoots frequently to "outgrow" it rather quickly and then want another rifle, probably a different caliber, and probably more expensive. But all that would depend on how often you shoot, and what you're shooting at, ect.

I will second that, and will also add that there is nothing wrong with an adult hunting with one either! Mine is a great shooter. Fit and finish between wood and metal could be a little better, but your talking about a $200 gun! Have had no problems with it. Shoots straighter than I can by far! And...like Pabooger said, you can't beat the barrel change program. IMHO...best deal in a firearm anywhere.
