    Eric,

Parkerizing, but either one will rust if not kept clean and
oiled. Again I recommend Birchwood-Casey Sheath oil. It is the
best rust preventative I have found so far, and it doesn't take much
    of it to work.

Don't send flowers when I die. Send money now, I can buy more ammo.

Bear Coat is an exceptional gun finish that is very durable and is self luricating. Check it out at www.bearcoat.com. I have it on my 1911 and I am very pleased with it.

To tell you the truth those Birchwood Casey silicone patches is all I use on my pistols except for the slide rails I use a little oil. Then all Rifles and shotguns get oiled with break free clp.

    Best!!
