I made ribs on the grill for supper last night, and when we got done eating I was going to introduce my son to s'mores. You all know the things. Graham crackers, chocolate bar, and toasted marshmallows. When I started getting all the stuff for them out, I felt really bad because I had everything but the last of the three. I appologized to my son and said we would have to do it another time. With a big smile he said we didn't have to wait because he knew what we could use instead. He ran off to the other room and came back with my bag of circus peanuts. Now would be the time to laugh. I know most of you are probably blowing whatever you just took a drink of all over your monitor, but we tried it. And, they actually turned out better than I thought they would. I am now convinced that this is what they were originally intended for. Anybody else feel adventurous?

    Brth729 -

I'm assuming by "circus peanut", you are talking about those candies shaped like a large peanut? Are they made out of marsmallow, or something close enough? I've seen them, never had any, that's why I'm asking.

.280 freak--Those are the ones I mean. They do look like a large orange peanut. And, yes, they are similar to a marshmallow. I think that's why my son suggested them.

E.Williams-My appologies. I should have been a little more descriptive.

    E. Williams--I did almost go to the store. But being one who is willing to try almost anything once, I thought what the heck. Laugh if you want to, but they were pretty good.

I should have stopped reading when you mentioned "smores". Now, I have to go take another shot of insulin to get my blood sugar back down from just thinking about this.
