I understand that Ruger makes the Bearcat handgun in stainless steel. Anyone ever seen one? I would like to buy one if possible.

I have the opportunity to buy a 1964 Ruger Bearcat Blue wear on barrel is about 50%. The rest is about 80% good. Missing the ejector and housing. I can replace the housing, screw, ejector and spring for about $35. The guy wants $150 for the pistol. I'm debating. What do you think?

I too have wanted one of these since it showed up in the catalog 2 years ago. Of course like the Gold Label no one seems to have seen them in my area other than at the SHOT Show. I checked availability at Gallery of Guns its says it is an "allocated" item. Which they claim means demand exceeds supply, I think few if any are out, they would be on an Auction sooner or later if they were available. Oh well, I've loved Ruger guns for over 20yrs and they pulled this back in the 1980's with the P-85 and of course the X-GI that never went in to production though it is rumored at least one got out.

Well, that's great they are out, I guess! Or do you just want to know how many we want? [:D] I'll check with the local dealers again.
