Choices, Choices, Choices...

Folks,

Given the choice of the following, which would you buy and why?...

1) A new, current Colt SAA, 5.5", nickel or blue/CC, .45 Colt or .44-40
2) A new Colt Special Combat Government model, .45 ACP or
3) A NIB Colt Gold Cup Commander, .45 ACP, blue.

Consider primarily collectibility and price, secondarily for shooting.

Hard choice, but I would go with #3 or #1 or #2.........OK, #3

Guns only have two enemies: Rust and Liberals....

but

I would go with the blued SAA in 45 Colt. Why? The SAA is my favorite revolver and 45 Colt my favorite pistol caliber. Don't know exactly why...they just are. Maybe it's from watching all those westerns from the fifties and sixties.

I'd take the SAA in 44/40, nickel, lightly engraved (no more than 20% coverage), Gutta percha eagle grips.

For investment value, definitely go with the Colt SAA. They have been on a steady increase for the last few years.

I would pick #1 and take a Colt SAA, blue in 44-40. Always liked 44-40, since I first fired one at age 10.
