    The Terminator. Jason only hacks people into dog food with hand-held implements. The Terminator basically uses anything that looks cool and spits out an inordinate and unrealistic amount of firepower. And even Mr. Voorhees can't withstand a minigun attack. Well, he could, but it would be stupid.

    Jason was dead and buried before "Jason Lives", in which the Character of Tommy Jarvis, returning from "The New Blood" returned and in an attempt to rid himself o his own nightmares dug up Jason's body and stabbed it with the big steel pole. Which, naturally, was struck by lightning moments later bringing the our teen-mangling friend back to life.

    He dies or is incapacitated on a number of occasions, but a combination of lightning and forgetful/ignorant screen-writers ensure his return.
