Best roof? We are putting a new roof on our house, and wanted to
look at it again. You guys we're saying why to go metal.
Also, anyone know what the best Windows are to install for
tax rebates? Thanks, Mouse

The only tip I will give you on a metal roof.

#1. If it is going on an older house. Make dang sure the guys installing it knows what they are doing. I have saw many that were installed on sagging roofs that were not shimmed at all or improperly shimmed that look like a bunch of grade school kids put it on. Bends, creases, waves and all make a metal roof look bad.

#2. Do not draw the screws down to tight. Again it makes the roof look like crap when all you notice is the dimples caused by over tightened screws. To many of those around here.

We are changing the slope, with new rafters, so new plywood down
probably. Overhanging it front and back. Thanks for the link.
    Thanks for the advice. Mouse
