I never saw him pick up a rifle the last day of the hunt. He always stuck it out to the end with his longbow and if it meant eating his tag, he did. He has and always will do it his way.

On his way to Alaska to tape his TV show, Tred Barta recently suffered a rare occurrence called a spinal stroke. He is currently paralyzed from just below the chest down.
