There are an awfull lot of balistics experts on here that have a vast knowledge of whats good and whats bad in self defense and hunting. I have a good question for those who feel certain guns and their chamberings are not fit for the job at hand.
Picture this scenerio, you have been convicted of a crime punishable by death and you have been told that you will die by firing squad. Now the executioners have given you a choice as to what gun and caliber you may be shot with. Let's hear what you don't want shot with and what you do want shot with and why.
Me, I want shot with anything that goes bang. I have not heard of ANY cartridge that won't kill. But some of you have expressed your knowledge that their are many out there that will not kill. According to some of you some calibers only wound and have no ability to kill. So let's hear it boys. Show us how smart you are.

If a riddle: Paintball, older Daisy BB (from 1940).
If a complaint: Nobody said there was a caliber that couldn't kill. It's just that one hit from some are more likely than others when striking the center of mass. If you have 10 guys firing as many shots as necessary, it doesn't matter as much. If you have only one guy firing 1 shot, I pick .22 short. In a pistol with a lead-fouled barrel. And the grooves shot out. And a 50 lb trigger pull.
If a question: If I'm going to go, I might as well go quickly and in style. First choice: the Atomic Cannon from the 1950's. Second choice: 7.62mm mini-guns from multiple Spectre gunships circling overhead.
As for which one I'd like the least, I'd have to say any of them which are designed to kill things....
....which would be all of them.
PS- How about one of those Shredder 12-ga. shotgun rounds? They pack it with jagged chips of steel. I might not be dead, but I'd sure wish I was.
