Looks good for a house light. I like the 90 sec recharge feature.

Think I'd rather take a E2D LED or streamlight "Super Tac" for roaming.

Apparently you have never looked at Surefire lights. The one I carry on my duty belt was $200 and it runs for 20 min on $4 worth of batteries (in bulk).

And yes it IS worth every penny, I own several Surefire lights for a reason.......

Well if you have a cruiser and/or a guard post handy to recharge it in then it looks alot better, especially if you pay for your own batteries.

Where I go hunting/fishing quite a bit all night a 90 min run time/lack of a nav phase, is what kinda caught in my craw.

    M2 and E2E.

I have said it before, but it bears repeating. At an absolute minimum, there are two items that one should keep on their person at all times:

    1. A good flashlight
    2. A good knife

Different lights for different uses. I just saw an ad for this light and thought it was kinda interesting. Like anything else it has strong points and weak points.

I always have an A2 Aviator (white) in my pocket too but it sure does not replace the M3 for real use at night. Yet the M3 does not fit well in your average pocket.

I do that as well as a cell phone and as often as I can (most of the time) a gun. But if you can have all 4 then there you go.

...I splurged for a Surefire Z2 Combat light. Well really, I had a gift certificate. I got the optional 120 lumen lamp assembly. Think I have $125+ in it. It will flat fry your retinas out, and fits in my palm. The heat that comes off that thing might fry bacon.
... With the 120 lumen bulb, it's only good for 20 minutes, but if a goblin gets in the way, only a few seconds will do just fine.
...For everyday use, I use cheap LED lights from the dollar store.

Got a SureFire 6P - and put in a WolfEyes 260Lumen LED in it.

Got about 80-90 minutes of runtime out of that on two CR123A batteries.
    That's plenty for me.

Also got the LED comversion for the 3D-cell MagLite - that works perfectly.
