$1.89 Flashlight

I have a Streamlight SL20, and an UltraStinger, and a Stinger XT, and a Surefire 6P. So as you can say I'm pretty spoiled. And I have an ever growing collection of LED flashlights. However the other day I was at WalMart and saw these plain jane $1.89 flashlight, that came with 2 D cell batteries. And being the worst impulst buyer in the world I figured I could use some cheap flashlights that I wouldn't have to worry about getting torn up around the house. So I bought two.

Well when I got them home, I took one out and put the batteries in. And I saw a little spot of light on the wall where I pointed it. So then I went into the bathroom and turned all the lights out, and turn the flashlight on. Boy what a waste of money. I could see better without it. I think what you pay for is the packaging, and your supposed to throw away the flashlight and batteries.

Heed my warning. Don't give in, and buy the $1.89 flashlight.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

You only have to buy a MagLite once -- until your wife or kids lose it, then you'll buy another MagLite once!

Well there is that Blade. We have a couple in the house two in the truck, one in the car, and another in my office, not to mention the small ones in attache case and travel bag. Forget what I said about only buying one.
