    The Come And Take It flag serves three major purposes:

    1. To prompt people to examine gun control from a historical perspective, so they can see from the past that gun control has been the work of tyrants,
    and those resisting gun control were standing for liberty;

    2. To provide the pro-gun community with a symbol encouraging them to fight in the face of overwhelming odds,
    and more importantly, to never compromise the Second Amendment;

    3. To warn those promoting gun control, that they are walking in the footsteps of tyrants, and that we
    cannot acquiesce to their destruction of our rights and liberty.

    Come and take it" was a slogan used in the Texas Revolution in 1835. In March 1831, Juan Gomez, a Lieutenant in the Mexican Army, worked alongside Tadeo Ortiz, a consul at Bordeaux, France, and granted a small cannon to the colony of San Antonio. The small bronze cannon was received by the colony and signed for by Randy Tumlinson. It was then transported to Gonzales, Texas and later was the object of Texas pride. At the minor skirmish known as the Battle of Gonzales, a small group of Texans successfully resisted the Mexican forces who had orders to seize their cannon. As a symbol of defiance, the Texans had fashioned a flag containing the phrase along with a black star and an image of the cannon which they had received six years earlier from the hands of a Mexican official.

    EDIT: This was just copied from Google and although I would love to have this flag, if I win it will put it back up for a random selection giveaway.
    Regards, MAALOX

    WOO-HOOOOOOO!!!

    That would look good hung in our front double window. Though I doubt Mrsbama55 would like it, but I sure as heck would. May have to install a flag pole out by my shop and hang this one under the Stars and Stripes. It would still be seen by the neighbors passing by.
    THANKS MFinn!!!

    Received the flag and pic today. Thanks again.
    My wife likes it, but not enough to hang it in the front window.
