Cruelty To Animal, OR What I Did To The Rat

Parking lot rat at local 24 hour eatery is real bold. Won't even flinch when you get out of your car 5 feet from it.

I decided to see how close I could walk up on it. We stood eyeball to eyeball, just looking at each other. Then I pulled out my pepper spray and hosed it.

That stuff works on rats just like it does on people. It lost all interest in anything but it's own discomfort and sat there pawing it's face. While the rat was so occupied, I nudged it with my foot and it did not budge.

I came back in a half hour or so and the rat had not moved. It was still sitting there with it's head buried between it's back feet. Looked like a round furball with a tail.

Female officer that was with me at the time said I was mean.

I got a great picture in my mind of a police officer walking up to a big rat, and staring it down, then casually pulling out his mace and nuking it in the face. Someone sees this happening and gets it on video, with the restaurant in the background. The caption for the picture or video would be along the lines of, 'No one, or ANYTHING, gets between an officer of the law and his pastries'. That kills me, thanks Nunn!!

Man I hate those things! I cerainly have a phobia of rats. I see them and I haul * out of there.
I remember I was in college, and was walking down the street with several females at about 200 am in the morning. We walked passed an alley, and saw 100s(maybe it was more like 20, but it looked like a 100 to me)of rats in the alley. They owned that ally! I saw those things and took off. The chicks gave me a real hard time-they didnt even flinch. One of them got the bright idea to nonchelantly throw a glove at me. I was so freaked I thought it was a rat. The girls enjoyed my reaction immensely.
When in college, I was always asked by friends to help them move.
One night one of my female friends called me, and told me she had to evacuate her apartment, cause it was condemned because it was infested with rats. I told her I really had a problem with helping her under these conditions, but she told me she had to get out that night and nobody could help her move out. I agreed to help her, but I was not happy at all. Got to her building, and I am looking everywhere for these things. Everycorner I turned, I expected to see those filthy creatures of the sewers. Got into the elevator, and on the way up my damsel in distress pointed at the ceiling with a look of horror in her face. I freaked out and she started laughing-she was pulling a funny. She thought my reaction was hysterical.
We got her stuff out of the building, without seeing one rat.
Perhaps I need to do a "G.Gordon Liddy".
In his book WILL, he talks about how he overcame his fear of rats-he caught one, killed it, cooked it, and ate it.

Andy-Oh heah they are common. At least in the cities that I have been in. Most common "wildlfe" you will see-with pigeons next, and squirrels after that.

When they aren't in the city, I choose a 45-70 for extermination. A 405 Grain bullet with 58.0 grains of H335 turns them little buggers into soup.

First of all Rats were the cause of the Plague that killed Millions of People.

New York City has something like three rats to every person living in New York City(politicians not included).

You should have crushed its skull with the heal of your boot, picked it up by the tail, and dropped it in the nearest trash can. Rats are dirty animals and carry all kinds of nasty bugs. THe fewer the better.

I grew up in Minneapolis. Never saw a rat there (other than Paul Wellstone who I bumped into near the corn-dog line at the state fair). The only rats I've seen in the city were in the NYC subway system. They were good-sized suckers but not the raccoon-sized ones that I keep hearing about. We DID have some huge * where I lived in Minneapolis. Those buggers would come up from the Mississippi (2 blocks away) and sit atop my neighbors massive mound of acorns and fight over it. You could hear them screaming and tearing eachother up at night if you left your windows open. That pile of acorns could have fed at least 100 of them.

Nunn watch out for PETA! You could get fifty years for that if they catch up to you. You'd do better beating a bag lady silly over her three day old fries.

I liked it though. You could have used your ASP and teed off on it's greasy little head.

    David -

Your only mistake was in not going far enough! Rodents is rodents... Some two-legged, some four-legged. This one you could have finished with your boot.

    Best Regards,
