What Is It? (A Pic From Varmit Hunter)

Varmit Hunter sent me this pic that showed up on his trail camera. He was wondering what the folks of GunBroker think this is a picture of?

    Dog?

Sure looks to be the south end of a northbound critter, but exactly what kind of critter is hard to say. Nothing to indicate scale except the vegetation, makes it hard to judge the size of the animal.

Munkey - I thought the same thing.

Was it originally on film or digital?

The upper right hand corner looks
    like a double exposure.

    What height was the camera?

My guess would be a wild dog. Standing on its rear legs with its front right paw on a adjacent tree, its front left shoulder in center of pic. He's trying to figure out just what the camera is. My first thought was a bear but his chest circumference doesn't match the distance from shoulder to rear leg. Unless he has seriously mal-nutrition. But this all just the first impression from the hip so to speak. How high was the camera? That would help knowing. May be a new camo suit in the experimental stages.........

Could possibly be a sitka or similar dark haired smaller deer shoulder shot, or a dog, depends on the camera height.

    it is..........

Where exactly was the camera............what part of the country..

Camera is 18" off the ground.Located in South East Texas. It is about 20' from a bayou,That would be a creek to most of the world.I have studied it for a week,Think I have a idea,But wont bet on it.

I'm not sure but it looks like a guy off my high school football team back in the early 70's. He was a hairy guy.
I would guess that it is the hind quarters of a medium to large dog.

Oh my god, its Janet Renos *! I wander where Martin Sheen is, I bet he took the picture.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

I would venture to say that it is the hind end of a beaver. Of course, I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. Just ask my wife! LOL!

18.00" off the ground, 20' from a buyo
I would have to guess it is some sort of ear with hair, like other folks said dog, etc.
BUT maybe some sort off water creature with fins?
Problems is fins and hair don't normally go together...LOL
How about a hairy sea turtle?
I like the boar suggestion as well!

Well, In my expert opion.. Taking all the above into though. It really looks like the back side view of a feline type looking down. For instance the bottom left object, to me looks like the left ear and being so pointed as it is....looks like a cat and the fine fuzzy fur around the neck!!!! I really think Cat of some type. SORRY TO BLOW THE YETI DISCOVERY!!!!!
